Our persistent prayers were answered when God brought about the formation of this team. We don’t do compassion, we live compassionately.

The compassion team exists to help meet needs in the surrounding community of Orange County. For example, in the last few months, people at Trinity have begun building a relationship with a local school that serves homeless children. Because the school staff’s time and resources are so limited, they are very eager to have volunteers help with organizing donations, tutoring, providing healthy meals, and so many other areas of need. The Trinity compassion team will be working to mobilize more church members to help alleviate some of the burden for the school, as well as find other organizations in the community with which to partner.
What we’ve accomplished:
1.
New Team Formation
Established Trinity Compassion Team on April 15, 2019. Clark Chang, Mindy Arnold, Diane Williams, Carissa Chu, and Erica Hill joined newly formed team.
2.
Research & Partnership
With Kris & Melissa Song’s help, Skyview Elementary School for homeless children was identified as a potential partner for Trinity families to come alongside.
3.
Opportunities to Relate & Witness
For the past 3 years, we have now started a sustainable partnership with the following initiatives:
Home for Refugees: Syrian Resettlement Team
Skyview Elementary
Hart Park
Family Promise of Orange County
Home for Refugees: Ukraine Resettlement Team (Currently in the works for 2023)
