This much-needed ministry is about going out to share Christ’s truth and love. To be on mission means that we are called to go and care for those we send.

The Missions Team exists to facilitate the spread of the Gospel. This happens through our own outreach to our neighbors, as well as supporting missionaries who work both in the U.S. and abroad. To help strengthen the relationship between Trinity and the missionaries it supports, the Missions Team checks in with the missionaries regularly about their needs and prayer requests; educates the Trinity church body about who its missionaries are and what they do; and, Lord willing, will travel to their ministry location to bring encouragement, awareness, and help to their work. In summary, the Missions Team supports those who are on the front lines of the mission field as well as builds a pipeline to send out even more.
What we’ve accomplished:
1.
Missionary Care
Caring and nurturing our relationships with Trinity’s existing ministry partners has been the number one priority since joining Trinity’s Missions Team. Since being on the field ourselves, personal relationships and prayers have been the lifeline to our success. We believe that churches are responsible for showing regular, intentional relational and spiritual care to its missionary partners. For us, that looks like reaching out to our missionaries about once a month to ask about their needs and how we can pray for them—and then actually doing it.
2.
Missionary Funding
We’ve recently set up a standard operating procedure for interviewing and assessing missionary candidates for support. Because we care deeply for missionary care, the number one way of making sure that our candidates stay healthy and strong is figuring out a way that we can nurture our relationship beyond just the funding stage. As we stand to support Trinity’s ministry partners, we look for ways to begin the conversation through supporting their financial needs.
3.
Vision Trips
In 2018, we had the privilege of taking a small team to Thailand, which composed of 4 different churches. Our desire was to show our donors and supporting churches the work that God has been doing in hopes that it would inspire and encourage the next generation of missionaries. We are currently planning for more trips down the line. In 2020, we hope to send our first short-term team from Trinity to Mumbai, India.
